What this game means: The Bulldogs win their first playoff game since 2015 and improve to 7-3 on the season and defeated a district champion in San Diego. The Vaqueros fall in the first round of the playoffs for the fifth straight year and end the shortened season at 4-2.

Saturday's highlights: The Bulldogs started quick and never let up jumping out to a 22-0 lead early in the second quarter when quarterback Cutter Stewart connected with Conner Eulenfeld on a 9-yard TD pass. Orange Grove totaled 483 yards, with 391 coming through the air, and all but one touchdown coming on a pass. The Vaqueros cut the lead to a 43-22 late in the second quarter but the Bulldogs responded with another touchdown to go up 50-22 less than three minutes later. Orange Grove scored on eight of their 11 possessions.

Saturday's stars: Stewart spent much of the night throwing to the edges to Eulenfeld and Jake Marsh as the two receivers combined to catch 26 of Stewart's 32 completed passes. Stewart finished the night completing 32 of 41 passes for 391 yards and six touchdowns. Eulenfeld caught 16 passes for 228 yards and four touchdowns, and Marsh had 10 catches for 127 yards to go with two touchdowns. Marsh also had a passing touchdown to Eulenfeld. San Diego managed 271 as Josh Camarillo came in in the second half to complete 4 of 8 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Brandon Ramirez had both TD receptions on catches of 69 and 40 yards.

Orange Grove quarterback Cutter Stewart on the quick start: "That's all we push is tempo, tempo and once you get it started, you can't stop it."

Orange Grove head coach Mark Delpercio on how the Bulldogs are playing: "I've talked to them about a clean slate, 0-0 and right now being 1-0 is all that matters, that gets us on to the next round. We didn't play the perfect game but there were a lot positives I saw (Saturday). We'll correct the negative and continue to stress the positive."

San Diego coach Bo Ochoa on the season: "With the shortened season, going 4-2 and winning a district championship, it wasn't bad. I think we started week five, I'm not going to make any excuses but we did play teams with full schedules and (Orange Grove) did make us better tonight."
