Sisters donate hair to Wigs for Kids
Two sisters from Benavides received a haircut on Tuesday, but this haircut was not your typical haircut. These haircuts will benefit a children in need through the Wigs for Kids program.
Twelve-year-old Natalie Flores and her sister, 13-year-old sister Netasha, cut their shiny brown hair to put a smile on a child’s face; a child, who for medical issues, did not have their own hair.
Natalie is donating 12 inches and Netasha is donating 14 inches.
This is the second time the sisters have donated to Wigs for Kids. For more than 30 years, Wigs for Kids has provided wigs and support for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, radiation therapy and other medical issues.
Natalie and Netasha are the daughters of Monica Sendejo and Jose Flores.
The haircuts were done at The Thairapy Room with Sharon Yarbrough. Yarbrough will give a free haircut to anyone that plans to donate their hair during the month of October.
