“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them,” (King James Version, Matthew 18:20).
With this scripture in mind, a few Duval County residents and leaders stood at the front of the courthouse on Wednesday morning for a prayer vigil.
Prayers were said for anyone dealing with coronavirus (COVID-19). With the virus impacting many across the world, residents of Duval County wanted to send extra prayers not only for those lost to COVID-19 or fighting the epidemic, but also for their families, the essential workers, students and teachers.
To end the prayer vigil, the group held a prayer walk around the courthouse.
