Investigators recover 96 THC vials at raid
An investigation by Jim Wells County Sheriff’s deputies on Friday led to the discovery of 96 THC vials; a Felony in the state of Texas.
The investigation was in connection with the West Side Operations that focus on deterring the use and sell of narcotics, according to sheriff officials.
According to investigators, they arrived on the 1900 block of Cruz Street in the Rancho Alegre area. When they arrived they discovered the box on the porch, according to sheriff officials.
As a result of the investigation, a narcotic search warrant was conducted and Angel Lopez was arrested. Lopez was charged with possession of THC. According to Investigators, the suspect had been receiving the THC vials via postal shipments.
The West Side Operations have been very successful in the determent of manufacturing and distribution of narcotics, JWC Sheriff Daniel Bueno said.
Sheriff Bueno and Lt. Alan Gonzalez are concerned that individuals continue to take advantage of the coronavirus panademic and the hardworking people of JWC.
Each THC Vial is equivalent to one gram and ready to be used in a vaping device, said sheriff officials.
Troopers with the Department of Public Safety assisted in the investigation.
