Bicyclist arrested with cocaine

Officers received a suspicious person call on Tuesday night on the 2000 block of Suarez Street. The responding officer observed a suspicious man, later identified as Cecilio Bueno on a bike with no reflectors and on the wrong side of the road. The officer made contact with Bueno who admitted to having cocaine in his possession. Bueno was arrested and transported to the Jim Wells County jail. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Arrested twice

Christopher James Garcia was arrested Monday on the 1400 block of South Reynolds Street. According to the police report, Garcia was in a vacant home without the owner's consent. When Garcia was located in the back of the home officers located a useable amount of synthetic marijuana near his property. Garcia had been arrested at the same property the day before. Garcia was arrested and taken to the JWC jail. He was charged with criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance.

Sleeping behind the wheel

On Monday officers were notified that a man was sleeping in a vehicle in a business parking lot where 18-wheeler entered. When officers arrived they found Richard Garcia asleep and detected an odor of marijuana. He was taken to the JWC jail where a correctional officer found four Xanax pills on Garcia. Garcia was charged with public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.
