COVID-19, JWC confirms new cases and fatalities

Jim Wells County received confirmation of 21 additional COVID-19 cases bringing the new total to 658, on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

Today, three additional residents passed due to complications from the virus, the new total is 11 related fatalities. Currently, 351 cases have recovered and 271 are active cases in the area.

Case # 638: Male in his 30’s

Case # 639: Male in his 70’s

Case # 640: Female in her 30’s

Case # 641: Male under Ten

Case # 642: Male under Five

Case # 643: Female in her 20’s

Case # 644: Male in his Teens

Case # 645: Male in his 60's

Case # 646: Male in his 40's

Case # 647: Female under Five

Case # 648: Male in his 30's

Case # 649: Female in her Teens

Case # 650: Male in his 60’s

Case # 651: Female under Ten

Case # 652: Male in his 20's

Case # 653: Female in her Teens

Case # 654: Female in her Teens

Case # 655: Male in his 20’s

Case # 656: Male in his 20’s

Case # 657: Female in her 20’s

Case # 658: Female in her 50's

The patients are currently isolated. Jim Wells County in identifying any close contacts of the patient so they can be isolated and monitored for symptoms.
