Two women, who attend Coastal Bend College of Alice, were informed last week that they had had been exposed to someone who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The students immediately notified their administrators and were told to go home, self-quarantine themselves and get tested, according to Hector Villarreal, CBC Alice site director.

On Monday, one of the women received her negative test result and will be allowed to return to her classes.

According to Villarreal, the women had been instructed about CBC policies on COVID-19. One of those policies was making sure they had a negative test result; without the negative test result the students would not be allowed back on campus.

CBC campus is maintaining a cleaning learning environment by periodically cleaning and sanitizing.
