The two new cases are both males one in his 30’s, and the other in his 40’s, according to the Texas Department of State and Health Services (DSHS).

The patients are currently isolated. DSHS is supporting JWC in identifying any close contacts of the patient so they can be isolated and monitored for symptoms.

The DSHS Public Health Region 11 is reminding the public that it is conducting contact investigation on persons who have tested positive to determine possible exposure to others. If the health department has not contacted you, there is no need to take any action at this time.

JWC Judge Juan Rodriguez is working with DSHS on updating all numbers in the county for active and recovered cases. Rodriguez, continues to urge everyone to practice social distancing, wearing masks and the CDC precautionary guidelines.
