JWC reports 19th case of COVID-19
On Tuesday, June 16, Jim Wells County received confirmation of an additional coronavirus (COVID-19) case in the county. Total cases reported in JWC is 19.
The newest case is a female in her 40’s, according to the Texas Department of State and Health Services (DSHS).
The patients are currently isolated. DSHS is supporting JWC in identifying any close contacts of the patient so they can be isolated and monitored for symptoms.
The DSHS Public Health Region 11 is reminding the public that it is conducting contact investigation on persons who have tested positive to determine possible exposure to others. If the health department has not contacted you, there is no need to take any action at this time.
