18th COVID-19 case in JWC

A female in her teen’s is the latest person to receive a positive result on her coronavirus (COVID-19) test.

The teenager is in isolation. The Texas Department of State Health Services reminds the public that it is conducting a contact investigation on any who tested positive for COVID-19 to determine possible exposure. If the health department has not contacted you, there is no need to take any action at this time.

The county received the notification Friday shortly before 7 p.m.

The total number of cases reported for the county is 18.

There are active 9 cases and 9 recovered cases.

JWC Judge Rodriguez continues to work with the state health department for information on each cases in the county.

Rodriguez and the state health department continue to urge everyone to wear masks and follow CDC guidelines. They also urge anyone who travels to any hot spots to self-quarantine themselves especially to the Houston and Galveston area.
