Commissioner Wicho Gonzalez negative for COVID-19

Jim Wells County Commissioner Precinct 4 Wicho Gonzalez received his coronavirus (COVID-19) results Friday morning. According to Gonzalez, he received a call from his medical provider that he had tested negative for COVID-19 and was going to pick up his letter that confirms his test results.

On Wednesday, JWC Judge Juan Rodriguez confirmed that two County officials including himself and Gonzalez along with two City of Alice officials were under self-quarantine after one of the men had a family member test positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

Judge Rodriguez, Gonzalez, Alice City Councilman Ron Burke and Larry Martinez, the executive director of the Alice, Jim Wells County Economic Development Corporation decided to place themselves under self-quarantine when they were notified that they may have been indirectly exposed to COVID-19.

Martinez was tested but word of his results are unknown at this time.
