City of Alice under a stay at home curfew effective tonight

Alice Mayor Jolene Vanover confirmed that the City of Alice will have a stay at home curfew starting at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, March 24.

Everyday from 11:59 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day is to remain at home or within their dwelling and not travel upon any public or private property within the boundaries of the city.

Only essential personnel such as medical; governmental workplace; person traveling directly to and from essential business and retail establishments such as grocery stores, gas stations, hospitals and other medical offices; and first responders such as paramedics, fire and police personnel.

Any anyone in violation can be arrested and or fined a $1,000.

The stay at home curfew is in effect until March 27 at 11:59 p.m.
