Freedom Ride aims to support active duty military
The Freedom Ride's purpose is to offer biker comradery and a show of support for active duty military, officials said.
The 80-mile ride along the Coastal Bend includes five stops where a passport will be stamped for the trip home. The ride will conclude at Brewster’s Street Ice House with a live band performing in the evening, organizers said.
Funds raised benefit the USO of South Texas, enabling programming, events, and support for local military and their families. T-shirts will be offered to the first 100 participants.
Registration for the ride begins at 9 a.m. Harley-Davidson, 502 S. Padre Island Drive, and the ride begins at 10 a.m. Cost is $50/per rider and $15 for a passenger.
