BENAVIDES - The Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco Badgers suffered a 9-0 loss to Benavides in their first match-up.

On Friday, they dished out a little revenge and put themselves back in first place in District 32-A. The Badgers defeated the Eagles on the road, 18-6.

The Badgers put the game out of reach in the third innings with a 10-run rally.

The decision puts Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco and Benavides even at 9-1. The Badgers hosted Bruni late Saturday and are on the road Tuesday against La Villa. They'll finish the regular season Thursday at home against the Agua Dulce Longhorns.

Pitcher Sevey Palacios was given the win on the mound.

Robstown ace Trey Leal gave up only three hits to the Orange Grove Bulldogs Friday night and that lead to a 15-0 outcome.

The Cotton Pickers beat the Bulldogs, 15-0, after rfive innings Friday in Orange Grove. Orange Grove, a playoff contender in District 31-3A, dropped to 5-3 in district, while Robstown improved its district win total to eight straight.

Leal struck out 11 batters and was given the win. Chris Gonzalez was the losing pitcher. His record fell to 5-2.
