After falling behind by two goals against one of the Rio Grande Valley's top soccer programs, the Alice Lady Coyotes came back and pulled off a 3-2 victory.

The win over the Mission Lady Eagles improved the Alice girls to 2-0 in District 31-4A.

Trailing 2-0 in Memorial Stadium, Denise Garza put Alice on the score board late in the first half. Just a few minutes later, Amy Acker tied the game.

Andrea Terrell then scored the eventual game-winning goal in the second on a direct kick.

The Lady Coyotes will be at home Friday against Kingsville.


The Alice Coyotes lost a 3-0 decision to Mission Tuesday night. Alice will play host to Kingsville Friday night.
