Memorial Intermediate School defended its Junior Olympics championship Tuesday.
Memorial defeated cross-town rival Dubose, 729-681.
It was Memorial Intermediate School's third-straight Junior Olympics victory.
Some of Alice's youngest athletes will fill Memorial Stadium Thursday for the annual Little Olympics. The games will include Alice ISD's five public elementary schools — Hillcrest, Noonan, Saenz, Salazar and Schallert — and the city's two parochial schools — St. Elizabeth and St. Joseph — will go head-to-head in events like the standing broad jump, the ball throw and the two-person sack race and more traditional events like the 50-yard dash, the 75-yard dash and the 400-yard shuttle relay.
The Little Olympics begins at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with a Parade of Champions around the track. The games begins immediately after.
