The Lady Mustangs remained perfect in District 3-5A and clinched the outright district championship with a 10-0 win over the Lady Dons.

Coronado (20-3-1, 13-0) got three goals from Heaven Rossette and Nicki Covington in the win. Krystyn Dominguez added a pair of goals, and Lexi De La Cruz and Filly Urias also scored.

The Lady Mustangs will wrap up the regular season on Tuesday with a road game at Amarillo Caprock before starting playoff action.

MONTEREY 6, LUBBOCK HIGH 0

Elma Colmenero scored twice to lead the Lady Plainsmen to victory and keep Monterey in second place in District 3-5A with the regular season ending next week.

Monterey (13-6-4, 8-2-3 in District 3-5A) also got goals from Ajacia Mojica, Abrysha Walker, and Erika Cabrera, with Adriana Rodriguez getting the shutout at goalkeeper.

LUBBOCK-COOPER 2, AMARILLO CAPROCK 1

WOODROW — The Pirates captured their first district boys soccer title in school history Friday with the win over Caprock.

Ricardo Gonzalez and Bryan Vega scored goals for Cooper, which improved to 17-4-3 and 10-1-2 in district.

The Pirates will wrap up the regular season with a home game Tuesday against Amarillo Palo Duro.

MONTEREY 4, LUBBOCK HIGH 0

The Plainsmen downed the Westerners on Friday with help from goals by Christian Carrasco, Jayden Johns, Zaaron Gonzalez and Edgar Gonzalez. Goalkeepers Mason Adams and Lloyd Hemmingway combined for the shutout.

Monterey (5-6-2) will take on Randall on Tuesday night in the final regular season game.
