Alice scored a season-high 87 points in a blowout victory against H.M. King Tuesday night.

The Lady Coyotes improved to 7-6 for the season with the 87-34 road win.

Alice’s big win was fueled by a strong push in the half. The Lady Coyotes scored 29 in the first quarter and 25 in the second to lead 54-18 at halftime.

Jakki Barrera ended the game as Alice’s leading scorer with 15 points, including nine in the first quarter. Tayler Blum finished with 11. Kayla Escobar had nine and Laryssa Salinas scored eight. Sarina Cantu had seven and Clare Martinez had six.

The Lady Coyotes are playing in the Laredo Border Olympics this weekend.
