Alice High School quarterback Isaiah Aguilar threw two touchdown passes, including a game-winner Thursday in a 20-15 victory against Rockport-Fulton.
The Alice junior completed nine of 19 passes for 239 yards. He had two touchdown passes. He was intercepted twice.
Alice was trailing 15-12 when it began its last drive at its own 34-yard line with 2:03 left to play. Aguilar helped Alice move downfield, evening keeping the ball to pick up a first down on a fourth-and-6 play at midfield. He connected with receiver Jacob Guzman for a big gain. Guzman was then his late to move Alice to the 25-yard line. It set-up a 26-yard touchdown pass to Waylon Moore with 54 seconds left in the game.
Aguilar also had a 42-yard touchdown pass to Devyn Orta and a three-yard touchdown run.
• Agua Dulce quarterback Randal Garza accounted for 296 yards in a 40-6 win against Runge Thursday. The senior signal-caller had 11 carries for 101 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He also completed 13 of 18 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns.
• San Diego running back Ramiro Ramirez only had seven carries Thursday night against West Oso, but he made the most of each touch. Ramirez finished the game with two touchdown runs in the 23-3 victory. He totaled seven carries for 36 yards.
• Agua Dulce running back Cruz Garza rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries for the Longhorns in a 40-6 win against Runge Thursday.
