When the San Diego Vaqueros needed their bats the most, they showed up Saturday night.

The Vaqueros were trailing the Taft Greyhounds, 3-0, in the deciding Game 3 of their best-of-three game series Saturday when they took over.

San Diego tied the game by scoring three runs in the sixth. They won it in the eighth inning. They scored six in the top half of the inning and then held on for the victory.

Antony Perez was 3-for-4 with an RBI while Ryan Briones was 1-for-3 with two RBI. Brandon Ramirez had a double in the eighth which led to three runs.

San Diego went down to Taft, 3-2, in Game 1 thanks to a walk-off by Taft in the ninth inning.

The Vaqueros battled back and defeated the Greyhounds, 8-1, Game 2. Pitcher Romeo Ramirez kept Taft off balance and allowed only four hits and one run through four innings.
