Alice quarterback Andres Barrios is coming off a superb performance against the Tuloso-Midway Warriors.

The Alice High School senior threw for four touchdowns and 306 yards passing.

Barrios set the tone of the game against the Warriors early on. He threw touchdown passes to three different receivers in the first quarter. He connected with R.J. Galvan for a 56-yard score. He later had a 30-yard scoring pass to Isaac Hernandez and an 81-yard touchdown pass to Orlando Espinoza.

Barrios put the Coyotes ahead 35-0 before halftime with a 23-yard touchdown pass to Trey Jaramillo.

Going into the final week of the regular season, Barrios leads big school quarterbacks with 1,401 passing yards. He’s completed 109 of 229 attempts. He has 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions. His attempts and competitions also lead the area.

• The Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco Badgers beat Three Rivers, 35-6, Friday night behind a strong performance by running back Brandon Adams. Adams rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
