Alice High School’s Jose Perez had a great second day at the District 30-5A golf tournament, and it was more than enough to extend his high school golf season by at least another outing.

Perez short a 77 at the Victoria Country Club Tuesday to push him into the Region IV-5A tournament. Perez turned in a score of 82 on the first day, but then played much better Tuesday. He was third overall individually with a two-day score of 159.

Alice’s other results include a total of 192 for Jose Flores, 187 for Gus Gonzalez, 164 for Armando Gonzalez and 197 for Oscar Camarillo.

Armando Gonzalez was sixth overall and missed qualifying by one shot.

Alice was fourth overall in the team standings.
