FLOUR BLUFF — It happened again.

Errors and a bad inning did the Alice Coyotes in Friday night on a cold night in Flour Bluff.

An error-filled sixth inning turned what was a three-run ball game into a 10-0 loss to the Flour Bluff Hornets.

“Unearned runs off errors,” Alice coach Rene Silva said. “It sounds like a repetitive story, but that’s what’s been hurting us.”

The Hornets built a 3-0 lead early on. Two of their early runs came on a dropped ball in the outfield and a walk.

Flour Bluff exploded in the sixth for seven runs off three hits and four Alice errors.

The Coyotes didn’t help themselves offensively, leaving base runners on second and third in five different innings.

Manuel Garcia led Alice at the plate going 1-for-3 with a double. Derek Escobar was also 1-for-3.

Zack Martinez started for the Coyotes on the mound and was tagged with the loss.
