Santos R. "TaTa" Castillo

Alice - Alice, Texas: Santos R. "TaTa" Castillo passed away on Sept. 10, 2021, at the age of 84. He was a Migrant worker who worked the hot scorching fields as a young boy. Later in life he worked for the Manor Apartments, P. & S. Hospital, Shanks, Heard and Heard. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, uncle, and friend who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and the rest of his family. He was a funny and loving man that enjoyed family gatherings and visiting with his neighbors. He loved to shop and sell unique items. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo T. and Francisca R. Castillo, his wife of 50 years Dora M. Castillo, son Herminio Castillo, granddaughter Erica Marie DeBusk, brothers Herminio, Andres, Isidro, Crescencio, and Julio Castillo, sisters Trinidad Beltran and Lydia Castillo. Survivors include his Sons Santos Castillo, Jr., Adolf Castillo, Joel Castillo, Jesse Castillo, Christopher DeBusk, daughters Ofelia Castillo and Marivel DeBusk, brothers Lupio Castillo and Pablo Castillo, sisters Juanita Castillo, Susana Castillo, and Leticia Castillo, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Honorary Pallbearer: Lupio Castillo, Active Pallbearers: Eric DeBusk, Michael DeBusk, Ryan DeBusk, Jesse Castillo, Joel Castillo, Santos Castillo, Adolf Castillo, and Herman G. Castillo. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, beginning at 4 pm at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home-Alice with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday. Sept. 16, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and burial will follow at the Roberson-Collins Cemetery.
