FALFURRIAS, Texas — Jaime Ruelas Sr., 50, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009 in a Kingsville hopital. He was a backhoe operator at a uranium plant. Ruelas was a graduate of Falfurrias High School.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Luisa G. Ruelas.
Jaime is survived by his wife, Connie V. Ruelas of Falfurrias, Texas; one son, Jaime (Idalia) Ruelas Jr. of Falfurrias, Texas; three daughters, Jessica (Daniel) Narvaez, Monica (Arturo) Garcia, Lyndsey (Arturo Trevino) Ruelas of Falfurrias, Texas; three brothers, Javier Ruelas of Austin, Texas, Ciro (Lucy) Ruelas of Ricardo, Texas, Romeo (Debi) Ruelas of Victoria, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
Family was recieveing frends and relatives at 3 p.m. Sunday January 18, 2009 at Alaniz Funeral Home of Falfurrias, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday January 19, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
Pallbearers were Alfredo Vasquez, Werner Hoffstetter, Jose Rolando Ruelas, Ciro Ruelas, Romeo Ruelas, Larry Silvas and Oscar Pineda. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Albert Vasquez, Sammy Pena and Ceasar Salinas.
