Baldemar Davila, 40, died July 10, 2007 after injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Toyah, Texas. He was an Alice High School graduate Class of 1985. Baldemar was a United States Army veteran and was presently employed with Nomac Drilling Company for over a year as a driller. He also worked for other oilfield companies. A special remembrance is made to his beloved dog "His Princess."

Survivors include his wife, Maria Irma "La Quata" Gonzalez-Davila of Alice; three stepsons, Rolando Garza and Danny (Ashley) Garza, all of Alice, and Roberto (Annya) Garza of Sugarland, Texas; two stepdaughters, Edna (Carlos) Cavazos of Alice and Gloria Beatrice (Allen) Garza of George West; parents, Rogelio and Genoveva Soliz Davila of Alice; five brothers, Rogelio (Anna) Davila Jr. of Michigan, Juan (Ester) Davila, George (Rachel) Davila, Jose Luis Davila and Raul (Belinda) Davila, all of Alice; five sisters, Dolores (Armando) Camarillo of San Diego, Texas, Marie Torres of Waxahachie, Texas, and Anna (Joe) Vasquez, Gracie (Rey) Jones and Chris (Micky) Davila, all of Alice; three grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Matthew Garza, Adam Garza and Savannah Lynn Cuevas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in Alice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice.

Military graveside services will be conducted by the United Burial Association of Alice. Burial will be at Roberson-Collins Cemetery in Alice.
