EL CAMPO, Texas - Michael "Mike" Burchett, 53, of El Campo, Texas, died on January 23, 2007. He was born on January 12, 1954 in Alice to the late Lemeul S. Burchett and Nancy Coleman Landis.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Burchett of El Campo; sons, Matt and Major Burchett, both of El Campo; daughter, Michelle Lee Rudd of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Susie Whitson of Three Rivers, Texas, Carol Merritt of Palestine, Texas, and Kathy Lunaas of Corpus Christi, Texas; and one granddaughter.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Garden of Memories Cemetery with the Rev. Kenny Shelton officiating.

GEORGETOWN, Texas - Bonnie Jean Galaway was born on March 16, 1925 in Miami, Okla., to Henry and Elsie Holder Barnes. She died on Sunday, January 28, 2007 in Austin, Texas. She was a member of the Gabriel Oaks Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elsie Barnes; a sister, Evelyn Ingle; and a grandson.
Survivors include her husband, Benny Galaway; her son Don (Sarah) Galaway; daughters, Susan Clemons, Jan (Richard) Moseley, and Karen (Robert) Gathright; a sister, Cathy (Eddie) Reichmann; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Bonnie's life was held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Gabriel Oaks Church of Christ in Georgetown, Texas with Minister Gene Smith officiating.

ALICE, Texas - Leonor F. Morgan, 78, passed away January 27, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital. She was a homemaker.
A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Josefa Flores; and her husband, Lee Morgan Sr.
Survivors include three sons, Lee (Yolanda) Morgan Jr., Edward (Yolanda) Morgan and Leeroy Morgan, all of Alice, Texas; four daughters, Edna (Jerry) Kennemer of Collinsville, Texas, Hattie (Johnnie) Villegas of San Antonio, Texas, Nora ( Tony) Varela of Fort Greely, Alaska, and Priscilla (Fred) Curtis of Alice, Texas; one brother, Abel (Frances) Flores of Tapica, Kan.; one sister, Zoila Rivas of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary was be recited at 7 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home of Alice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery.
