PALITO BLANCO, Texas – Felix Cadena, 63, passed away Saturday April 23, 2011, at his residence in Palito Blanco, Texas.  He fixed and built ranch fences for many local ranchers.

He was preceded in death by his son, Felix Cadena Jr.; his mother, Julia Cadena; and a brother, Jesus Cadena.

Survivors include one son, Norberto (Alma) Cadena of Freer, Texas; two daughters,  Julie (Billy) Benavides of Freer, Texas, and Linda (Danny) Rivera of Alice, Texas; his father, Jose Cadena Sr. of Palito Blanco, Texas; eight brothers, Thomas (Yolanda) Cadena of Green Acres, Texas, Pepe (Aurora) Cadena of Palito Blanco, Texas, Ernesto Cadena of Rivera, Texas, David Cadena of Alice, Texas, Carlos Cadena of San Diego, Texas, Juan Cadena of San Diego, Texas, Michael Cadena of Palito Blanco, Texas, and Rodolfo Cadena of Rivera, Texas; one sister, Sofia Rodriguez of Green Acres, Texas;  21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held  from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at the Rosas Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas, with a prayer service being held at 7 p.m. that evening.  Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Rosas Funeral Home chapel in Alice, Texas. Burial will follow at La Esperanza Ranch Cemetery.
