BENAVIDES, Texas – Marina Casso Dimas, 78 years old, made her transition on Monday, January 18, 2010 in Katy, Texas. She was born in Alice, Texas, to Jesus Casso and Jesusa Hinojosa on November 13, 1931. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Inez Dimas; one daughter, Raquel Dimas Morales; three sisters, Susana Casso, Antonia Casso Cavazos and Jesusa Pena; and one stepson, Roque Dimas.
One never really dies… for our dear Marina will live in our hearts and thoughts forever.
She will be greatly missed by her one son, Rogelio (Maria) Dimas of Benavides, Texas; three stepsons, Ramon (Raquel) Dimas of Houston, Texas, Juan (Belia) Dimas of Sugarland, Texas, and Jose (Diana) Dimas of Bryan, Texas; one son-in-law, Santos Morales of Falfurrias, Texas; one daughter, Ines Marina (Johnny) Ostigin of Katy, Texas; three step-daughters, Maria Guajardo of Hempstead, Texas, Josefina Reza of Richmond, Texas, and Elvira (Guillermo) Munoz of Hempstead, Texas; one brother, Felipe “Pipo” Casso Hinojosa of San Diego, Texas; one sister, Maria Casso Hiten of Corpus Christi, Texas; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Visitation began at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego, Texas, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2010 at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Burial followed at the San Diego Cemetery.
