PREMONT, Texas - William R. "Wild Bill" Fredrickson, 65, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007 at a Kingsville hospital. William was born November 10, 1941 to Louis and Mattie Fredrickson in the town of El Campo, Texas. He joined the Navy at the age of 17. He loved the rodeo, calf and team roping. William was a cattleman.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Fredrickson of Premont; a son and daughter-in-law, Rope Ray and Paula Fredrickson of Houston, Texas; his mother, Mattie Redmon of Corpus Christi; his stepmother, Dorothy Fredrickson of Needville, Texas; two brothers, J. Ike (Sue) Fredrickson of Needville and Bo Fredrickson of Rosenberg, Texas; eight sisters, Rebecca Grey of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rene (C.E.) Hackett, Carolyn (Randal) Manville and Judy Johnson, all of Needville, Cindy Pavlov of Houston, Sissy (Don) Damel of Austin, Jan (Mike) Snider of Needville and Pam Lackey of Dallas; two grandchildren, Kyleigh Marie Fredrickson and Baby Fredrickson; and also his very much loved four-legged animals.

Visitation began at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 with funeral services being conducted at 1 p.m. at the Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home of Rosenberg, Texas.

FALFURRIAS, Texas - Daniel L. Garza, 76, passed away at a Corpus Christi hospital on May 13, 2007. He was preceded in death by a son, Javier Garza; and a sister, Delia Perez.

Survivors include his wife, Elia R. Garza of Falfurrias, Texas; two sons, Daniel Garza Jr. and Juan Jose (Aggie) Garza, both of Falfurrias; two daughters, Velma (Jose) Garza of Harlingen, Texas, and Lolita Garza of Falfurrias; one brother, Eliborio (Gloria) Garza of Falfurrias, Texas; two half-brothers, Domingo (Lina) Garza and Pete Garza, both of Falfurrias, Texas; one sister, Berta (Edmundo) Mireles of Corpus Christi, Texas; one half-sister, Juanita (Rudy) Perez of Falfurrias; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Paula H. Gonzalez, 75, died May 12, 2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital after a long illness. She was a native of San Diego, a San Diego High School graduate and was the owner of the Donut-Hole Restaurant in Corpus Christi for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Arcadia Hernandez; two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Nicolas Gonzalez Jr. of Corpus Christi; one son, Sylvestre Gonzalez of Corpus Christi; one granddaughter, Glori Gonzalez of Corpus Christi; one grandson, Matthew Montoya of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Francisco (Ofelia) Hernandez Jr. of San Diego, Texas, Hector (Tina) Hernandez of Alice, Texas, and Rogelio (Elvira) Hernandez of San Diego, Texas; five sisters, Carolina H. Pena of Banquete, Texas, Idolina H. (Jose Angel) Villarreal of San Diego, Texas, Idalia H. (Genaro) Briones of Raymondville, Texas, Odilia H. (Gregorio) Flores of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Alma (Hector) Hernandez of San Diego, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home Chapel in San Diego. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church in San Diego. Burial will follow at Pena Cemetery in La Rosita Community.

ALICE, Texas - Gary R. Massey, 59, passed away on May 13, 2007 at his residence in Alice, Texas. He worked in management most of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Massey.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly D. Massey of Alice; one son, Gary Massey Jr. of Houston, Texas; five daughters, Joycelyn (Samuel) Rodriguez of Alice, Debbie Fullerton of Mission, Texas, Amelia Galves of Austin, Texas, Gretchen Callaghan of Houston, Texas, Nicole (Raynaldo) Coronado of Pasadena, Texas; his mother, Melba Massey of Conroe, Texas; one sister, Debbie (Jack) Nichols of Aransas Pass, Texas; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

ALICE, Texas - Oscar T. Trevino, 61, died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at his residence after an illness. Born in Robstown, Texas, he was a resident of Alice. He was a retired truck driver, having been employed with Alamo Concrete of Alice. He was a member of the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by a brother, Freddy Trevino.

Survivors include his parents, Pablo and Sara Trevino of Alice, Texas; his wife, Yolanda M. Trevino of Alice, Texas; three daughters, Nora T. (Amador) Cavazos of Agua Dulce, Texas, and Melissa T. Ramirez and Judy (Cesar) Rivadeneyra, both of Alice, Texas; three sisters, Olga (Fidencio) Lerma of Alice, Texas, Janie (Francisco) Lopez of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ramona (the late Rene) Villarreal of Kingsville, Texas; and a brother, Marcos Trevino of Kingsville, Texas.
