Gregor, Hillmer, Hinojosa


KINGSVILLE, Texas - Cynthia Ann G. Gregor, 57, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away December 30, 2007 in Kingsville. She was born June 24, 1950 in Alice, Texas to Eva S. and Lazaro A. Guerra Jr. She was a retired social worker. She was preceded in death by her father, Lazaro A. Guerra Jr.

Survivors include her son, Leonard Lazaro (Jennifer) Gregor of Kingsville; her daughter, Kimberly (Paul) Ochoa of Kingsville; her mother, Eva S. Guerra of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, Linda Guerra of Corpus Christi and Sandra (Mike) Quinn of Spring Field, Va.; three grandchildren and three nephews.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2008, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Saint Gertrude's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.

ORANGE GROVE, Texas - Ray Meyer Hillmer, 83, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007. He was born April 7, 1924 in Smithville, Texas. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a paratrooper. He later worked in the petroleum industry as a tool pusher and driller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; and brothers, Fred Jr., Mickey and J. D. Hillmer.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Hillmer of Austin, Texas, and Jimmy (Lana) Hillmer of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Geraldine Miller of Lagarto, Texas; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will be present for visitation between 4 and 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Faith Church UCC in Orange Grove, Texas. Interment will follow in the Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove.

Victoria Gonzalez Hinojosa, 83, passed away December 29, 2007. She was born March 10, 1924 to Francisco and Candelaria Gonzalez in Falfurrias, Texas. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonel Hinojosa, and by her parents. Survivors include her son, Juan Jose (Carrie) Hinojosa of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Noela (Juan) Molina and Leonela (Juan) Garza, both of Falfurrias, Texas; one sister, Lilia Rosas of Falfurrias; six sisters-in-law, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the Alaniz Funeral Home of Falfurrias.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial followed in the Old Sacred Heart Cemetery.
