Ralph (Pak) Pakebusch, age 87, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was born on January 23, 1930 in Alice, Texas to Albert and Annie Pakebusch.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Rayfield, Joe, James, Jimmy, and Glenn, and his sister, Mae Lindekugel.

Ralph attended Alice and San Diego schools. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Sergeant First Class, specializing in Intel and Recon. He worked in the South Texas oilfield for over 50 years as a wireline operator, sales and management. He was a member of Alice API for many years.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Celeste; children, Steve (Debra), Mary Ann, and Mike (Tricia); grandsons, Mayes and Ryan, and granddaughter, Melissa. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara (Jim) Bixler and sister-in-law, Connie Pakebusch, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ralph was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He served as an usher and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2992.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017 with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Msgr. Pivonka officiating.

Interment will follow at Alice Cemetery.

Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. The world has lost a wonderful man.
