Ozelle Ina Myrick, Grandma “O”, of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away on May 30, 2016. She was born on March 15, 1939 in Alice, Texas, to parents Robert and Ina (Goldapp) Fischer. She graduated from Alice High School and Texas Lutheran College and lived in Alice, Sequin, Austin and Cedar Park, Texas. Grandma “O” worked at the Texas Workforce Commission in Austin, Texas and then as a legal secretary at Burris & Burris in Alice, Texas until retirement. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alice, Texas all of her life.

Grandma “O” is survived by her daughter, Jodi and her husband Jerry Jenkins and their children, Natalie, Matthew and Samuel of Cedar Park, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her dear cousin Pat Fischer.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of New Hope Manor in Cedar Park, Texas and Texas Home Health and Hospice who made Grandma “O”’s last days pleasant and comfortable. A memorial service will be conducted on June 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alice, Texas. Internment of cremains will be at the Triumphant Love Lutheran Church Resurrection Garden in Austin, Texas.

Because of Grandma “O”’s love of children and her desire to help others, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Junior League of Austin’s Food In Tummies (FIT) Program or the charity of your choice. In concert with the Del Valle school district, FIT supplies backpacks of healthy food to 1,400 school aged children who face hunger over the weekend.
