Robert R. “Bobby” Ramirez, 77, died on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in a local hospital following a sudden illness. Robert was born to Carlos C. and Adelina (Sanchez) Ramirez on February 6, 1939 in Hebbronville, Texas.
He proudly served two terms in the US Army and retired from the Jim Wells County Sheriff Department after serving for 35+ years. Bobby as he was known to many, was very involved in the Jim Wells County Fair Association. He never met a stranger, he was always willing to talk to anyone, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Carlos C. Ramirez, and a grand-daughter: Cheyenne Ramirez.
Survivors: Mother: Adelina Ramirez of Alice, Texas, three daughters: Tonya (PoPo) Benavides of Alice, Texas, Julie (Alfonso) Alamo of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ofelia (Robert) Redix of Corpus Christi, Texas, Son: Manolito “Rick” Ramirez of Cuero, Texas, 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Roberson Funeral home Chapel in Alice, Texas. Cremation will follow. Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home of Alice, Texas. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhomes.net
