Manuel Balmore Pena, 84, passed away March 25, 2016 at his residence in California. He was born April 7, 1931 to Pedro Pena and Genoveva Moreno Pena. He was a Marine and served during the Korean War.

Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Genoveva Pena; sister, Minga Garcia and brother, Beto Pena.

Manuel is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elma Garcia Pena of Corona, California; children, Sylvia Spaulding of Salem Oregon, Manuel (Barbara) Pena Jr. of Whittier, California, David (Kim) Pena of Placentia, California, Michael J. Pena of Corona, California, Vera (Michael) Jackson of Cypress, California and Mark (Sylvia) Pena of Wildomar, California; brothers, Pedro Pena of Alice, Texas and Pepe (Josie) Pena of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Nena (Lupe) Martinez of Alice, Texas and Soila Lopez of Alice, Texas. Other survivors include 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Rosas Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas with a Rosary being recited at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. that day at the Rosas Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the San Jose Cemetery.
