Roberto A. Luna, 71, passed Thursday, February 18, 2016 in a Corpus Christi hospital after a sudden illness. He was a native of San Diego, Texas. He was a retired auto mechanic from Bradford Chevrolet in Alice, Texas. Roberto was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Desidiro and Lupita Luna, one son, Roel Luna, two brothers, Manuel Barrera and Oscar Luna, five sisters, Elida Salinas, Juanita Elizondo, Margarita Ramos, Maria Godines and Leonor Campos.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years of marriage, Zenaida S. Luna of Alice, Texas, Three sons, Robert Luna, Jr., Hector (Dena) Luna both of San Antonio, Texas and Javier (Angie) Luna of Floresville, Texas, two step-sons, Frank (Melinda) Rodriguez of Alice, Texas and Mark Herrera of Edinburg, Texas, one daughter, Prissy (Gabriel) Pena of Corpus Christi, Texas. twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas.
