The City of Freer and the Duval County Sheriff’s Department will hold an Easter Egg hunt on Good Friday at the Rotary Park beginning at 1 p.m. Everything will be free and open to the public. The Easter bunny will be on hand to take photos and visit with the children.
Tina Garza, assistant to the secretary of the City of Freer, said the event is geared toward making Easter brighter for the children of the area.
“We all love children,” Garza said. “We love our kids here in Freer, but everyone is welcome to attend. Easter is a time for young children to be happy as we celebrate one of the most holy holidays.”
