Alice High School students in the dual credit Emergency Medical Technician course received training and tips on how to use a back board on individuals who received injuries from vehicle accidents. They were getting hands-on training from Guardian EMS personnel Eric Winterbottom and Wendy Greer along with Alice firefighters assisting. This is the first year the high school offered the medical course for individuals interested in the medical field. The training was at the Barr Iron yard off Highway 44 at which students used junked cars to role play an accident scenario. The program is in conjunction with Del Mar College.  Photo by Ofelia Garcia Hunter
