The following reports were compiled from information provided by the Nueces County Precinct 5 Constable's Office for the weeks of March 28- April 14.
April 2 - Gustavo Reyna, 32, was arrested on an active warrant for driving while intoxicated. Deputies with the constable's office were dispatched to a disturbance in progress in the 800 block of Chapa St. A background check on Reyna showed he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
April 3 - Deputies are still investigating a husband and wife argument that escalated into an alleged assault. Jesus Rojas was with his wife at the Richard M. Boarchard Regional Fairgrounds on April 3. Later that night, an argument ensued between the couple in the 1100 block of East Main Ave., which led to the alleged physical altercation. Rojas, 55, was arrested and taken to the Nueces County Jail.
Christopher Rios, 28, was arrested on alleged assault charges, after he pushed his wife while intoxicated, according to a report with the constable's office. After the alleged altercation, the victim walked to a nearby store to call law enforcement. Rios was arrested a short time later in the 800 block of West Ave. E.
April 5 - Maricella Rios, 30, was taken into custody in the 700 block of East MainAve. on a capias warrant for a motion to revoke her probation. Rios was on probation for a theft charge, according to the constable's office report.
April 8 - Marian Hernandez, 46, was arrested during a traffic stop in the 5400 block of East Riverview. Officers stopped Hernandez for speeding, but a background check uncovered a warrant for larceny out of San Patricio County. Hernandez was arrested and transported to the Nueces County Jail.
April 10 - Deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Gonzalez Street, where they found 28-year-old Candelerio Lazcano had allegedly cut himself in the upper chest area during a suicide attempt, according to the officer's report. Lazcano was reportedly off his medication at the time of the incident. He was arrested and transported to the Nueces County Jail.
