Robstown police were continuing their search Tuesday for two men who allegedly tried to lure a boy into a vehicle last week.
Police said a Seale Junior High School administrator reported the attempted abduction Jan. 23. The incident reportedly occurred off school grounds at about 7:25 a.m. Jan. 22. as a 13-year-old boy was walking from home to school.
The boy said two men tried to lure him into an older-model Suburban.
When the driver exited the vehicle to approach the boy, the boy managed to run away from both men and make it home.
The driver was described as a man in his mid-40s, with broad shoulders, large belly, a chubby face, trimmed brownish beard and wearing eyeglasses.
The other man walking behind the vehicle was described as a short man in his late 40s, thin, with a dark complexion and wearing a navy-blue hat.
The Suburban was white, with rust on the roof and on both driver's side doors, and it had a luggage rack on top.
Robstown police increased patrol units around the school zones and school officials were also put on alert.
