Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco Independent School District will consider action tonight on approving a drug-testing policy that could take effect in the coming school year.

The school board meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Ben Bolt-Palito High School cafeteria located on 172 Badger Lane. Some items on the agenda include a presentation by the Boys and Girls Club of Alice on plans for their new club facility to benefit the children of Jim Wells County. It also includes proposed options for use of the facility by the surrounding school districts.

As the second item under new business, the school board members will consider and possibly take action on approving of the drug testing policy that will take effect in the 2007-2008 school year. They will also consider purchase of a tractor with mower, approve amendments of the 2006-2007 school year and select delegates for the upcoming TASB convention to be held in Dallas on Sept. 28. The board will review the November elections and discuss the septic system at Palito Blanco Elementary.
