Thirteen young ladies will be vying for the coveted titles of 2008 Miss Freer and 2008 Junior Miss Freer this Saturday night at the Country West Palace.
The “Roundup Corral” themed pageant is sponsored by the Freer Chamber of Commerce, and is directed by Loretta Lichtenberger.
Michael Gibson of KIII TV News in Corpus Christi will serve as this year’s Master of Ceremonies.
Crowning the winners will be 2007 Miss Freer Aimee Evans and 2007 Junior Miss Freer Alanah Saenz.
The 2008 Miss Freer contestants are Ashlee Gonzalez, daughter of Rene and Alma Gonzalez, sponsored by Newman Operating and Straight Line Construction; Brenda Garcia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mauro Garcia, sponsored by TL Equipment Services; Catherine Briones, daughter of Gilbert and Dolores Morin, sponsored by her parents; Alyssa Rivera, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rivera Jr., sponsored by Cantu’s Tire Center and Ramco Oilfield Services; Samantha Marquez, daughter of Jaime and Tammy Marquez, sponsored by Triple R Services and In His Image Photography; Felicia Fernandez, daughter of O.J. Espinoza and Josie Fernandez, sponsored by Gallery Quality Motors, Nestor Garza Jr., Santa Fe Health Care and N.S.C.L., Inc. and Jasmine Garcia, daughter of Ector J. and Rachel Garcia, sponsored by Duval Lease Service and Straight Line Construction.
