Duval County Commissioners unanimously approved the salary schedule of employees of the Central South Texas Criminal Investigation Unit during a regular meeting held last Monday at the courthouse.
According to reports, a monthly salary of $3,748.50 will be paid to the commander and a monthly salary of $3,136.17 will be paid to the assistant commander.
Two interdiction agents will receive monthly salaries of $2,695 and $2,473.
Funding for the criminal investigation unit is provided from the state.
Commissioners also approved the cancellation of the Ramirez Common School District May 10 election.
The cancellation was approved because incumbent board member Roberto Molina Jr. is unopposed.
In other business, the altering of voting precinct boundaries were unanimously approved, and the proposal will also be submitted to the Secretary of State for approval.
