A man was arrested Friday morning for a city warrant out of Round Rock with charges of aggravated assault, Alice police officials said.
About 9 a.m. Friday, Alice police arrested Jose Manuel Gonzalez in the 1100 block of Oakland Street for a city warrant from Round Rock, Texas.
According to Alice police, Gonzalez is facing charges of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, officials said.
Gonzalez is the father of Cirino "Reno" Gonzalez, an Alice resident who was extradited to New Hampshire last year on a federal warrant.
Cirino Gonzalez was charged with conspiracy, accessory after the fact, and one count of carrying and possessing firearms.
He was one of several supporters who lived at the home of Ed and Elaine Brown, a New Hampshire couple who were convicted of multiple tax-related crimes in January 2007.
The Browns were holed up in their home for nearly eight months, rejecting surrender and threatening violence if marshals tried to arrest them.
Jose Manuel Gonzalez was transported to the Jim Wells County jail Friday where he is awaiting transfer to a Round Rock jail, officials said.
His bond is set at $1 million, jail officials said. Round Rock public relations officer could not be reached for comment Friday.
