Early voting is underway having begun on Monday and continuing through Friday, May 25.
The locations for voters to cast their early votes from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. at Orange Grove City Hall and from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. at Premont City Hall.
The Jim Wells County Courthouse will hold early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., they will be open during the lunch hour. The election administrators will also hold a Super Saturday with the same times as the weekday at the courthouse.
Curbside voting is available at the courthouse for those who are unable to walk up the steps to cast their votes or individuals who are restricted in time. Several parking spaces are reserved just for those wanting to vote using the curbside service.
Individuals will be allowed to vote in their cars with an election administrator standing off to the side to collect the ballot from the voter. If the voter has someone to assist them in reading and understanding the ballot, that assistance must take an oath inside the courthouse to not persuade the voter in their voting decision. Once the voter is done casting their vote they will be advised to fold the ballot in half and seal it in a secrecy envelope.
