Nicolaus Garza, the 25-year-old man who jumped from a two-story building, died early Wednesday morning from injuries sustained in the fall, family members said.

Police said Garza jumped from two-stories to the ground about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Casa Real, a residential home for elderly and mental patients, on Wyoming Street, where he lived alone.

Police Chief Daniel Bueno said he was bleeding from his ears and mouth when the emergency medical service personnel arrived.

Garza sustained brain damage, family member said.

Garcia was transported to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Alice and later transported to a Corpus Christi hospital where he passed away, family members said.
