After a two-month investigation, Alice police arrested an individual in connection with the Yates Transportation office burglary on July 23.
On Wednesday, officers arrested Henry Martinez on a burglary warrant, two months after he allegedly burglarized the offices at Yates Transportation.
Sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. on July 23-24, the suspect allegedly gained access to the building by unknown means and disabled the burglary alarm by ripping the box out of the wall and cutting the wires from the front off, according to the police report.
The suspect proceeded to the rest of the office in the building, removing an HP copy machine, two HP desktop computers, a typewriter, some articles of clothing, a 25-inch flat screen TV, an 18-inch flat screen TV and a shredder.
Martinez was brought in to the Jim Wells County jail late Wednesday on the warrant with a $6,000 surety bond attached, issued by Alice Municipal Court Judge Edie Gonzalez Lemon.
He was released on bond on Thursday.
