A man was arrested for aggravated assault with a motor vehicle Saturday after he allegedly wrecked his vehicle into his ex-girlfriend's car as she was turning into the 1100 block of Sacramento Street.

According to the report, on Saturday Officer Arnold Garcia made contact with Vanessa Garza in the 1100 block of Sacramento Street. Garza told the officer she was in her 2004 Ford Taurus traveling east in the 200 block of Tickle Street when her ex-boyfriend, Michael Lichtenberger, was traveling west in the 200 block of the street.

Garza stated as she was about to turn into the 1100 block of Sacramento Street, Lichtenberger "intentionally wrecked his vehicle into the passenger side of her vehicle."

Garza told Garcia Lichtenberger then reversed and drove west on Tickle Street. According to the report, Garza stated she was in fear for her safety as Lichtenberger wrecked his vehicle into her's.

Police made contact with Lichtenberger in the 900 block of Hickey Street where he was placed under arrest for aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.

Lichtenberger was transported to the Alice Police Department for processing and then the Jim Wells County jail for incarceration.
