Crews with the City of Robstown's Public Works Department last week demolished three structures adjacent to the current City Hall in order to make way for a new city hall facility.

City officials said the project is still in the design phase, but added construction could begin within the next few months.

The city has already issued $5.2 million in Certificates of Obligation, which do not require voter approval, as collateral for a $5 million loan received from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that will pay for the project.
