A domestic disturbance call responded to by the Alice Police Department ended with a drug arrest and the seizure of a small amount of cocaine Thursday, officials said.

According to Alice Police Department records, officers received a call of a disturbance at a home in the 300 block of Newberry Street in Alice shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday.

Upon arrival, a woman who lived in the home invited the officers into the house, where the officers reportedly noticed three small aluminum pipes and a cellophane bag on a table in the kitchen. A second individual in the home, identified as Norberto Cadena Jr., 48, reportedly admitted the items belonged to him. Officers also noticed a plastic bag in Cadena's shirt pocket, and discovered the bag contained four grams of cocaine. Cadena was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He remained in the Jim Wells County jail Friday on a $1,500 bond for possession of a controlled substance and $200 bond for the paraphernalia charge.
